Batman 1989 - The First Is Always The Best!

The Dark Knight of Gotham City begins his war on crime with his first major enemy being the clownishly homicidal Joker.
I often have wondered that if this movie wasn't such a big success in the first place, would we still be churning out more Batman movies?   You must admit, like all series of movies, the first is the best!  And I think that the same could be said about the 1989 flick Batman.  Not to mention that it won an Oscar, 7 wins and 17 nominations.

Also, this movie has my two most favorite characters played by my two most favorite actors!  Although I must admit that I'm partial to Michael Keaton due to the fact he was born in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania, the hometown of my mother and I was born.

And Jack Nicholson has been my favorite actor long before Batman ever came out! Jack did a wonderful job using his seasoned talent to portray the most evil, deranged, and flat out psychotic killer of all comic book villains, The Joker, the complete opposite of Batman.

If these two weren't in the first Batman movie, who is to say that there would be all these other Batman movies to follow.
