Superman and Batman

Here is a cool picture that I came across on Flickr.com. I like the way the artist drew the capes blowing in the wind. They have a perfect pose standing by The Daily Planet globe with the sky and city in the background. A lot of work went into this picture. I must say, "Well Done!"

Batmobile - Batman (1989), Batman Returns (1992)

This Batmobile is 20 feet in length, driven by Michael Keaton that was based upon the 1967 Chevrolet Impala found in a London junkyard. It was powered by 327-cubic inch V-8 Cheverolet engine mounted low in frame in order to drop the hood line and enhance the sleek profile. It had a Rolls Royce engine components that were used to form the hood-mounted intake, turbine blades that were scavanged from a British Harrier fighter jet.

Two Batmobiles, the featured and a stand-in, appeared in "Batman" and "Batman Returns". Three additional studio-authorized Batmobiles (this was one), were constructed for publicity and promotional use after the film's release.

Saving the planet! - it's a tough job - Fallen hero

Here's another cute kid with his Batman outfit. Here is what narration the photographer had to say about this photo.

"Out in the garden yesterday my sons were playing on the rope swing. DJ my youngest son (featured here) was finding the wait for his turn difficult. He can really turn it on when he needs to (any parent will know). He has a superhero fetish at the moment, changing almost hourly into a different costume, most of which are his brothers and too big for him. It is lovely and I can never say no when he wants to dress up (where ever we might be heading)."

I just love it when children go through this super hero stage!

Suffer Well

Now this Catwoman I wouldn't want to keep boxed up too long! Besides having a limber pose here, I think she could open up a can of hurt, seeing that look in her eyes. Most Catwoman photos I come across have a more of a sexy side to it , but here, the photographer was able to catch that "I'm dangerous" look. What a great job Javier Munoz did!

I liked this catchy video that shows how much The Batman logo has morphed over time!

Holy, Holy, Holy - Batman

And Holy Blog Batman!

Batman Main theme

I've always loved this movie score by Danny Elfman. He did a excellant job at creating the atmosphere for the 1989 Batman theme.

The real batman @ bath time

Here is another cute kid Batman fan in the works. Who could refuse putting this adorable picture up? Of all the Batman fans, the kids are the best! Maybe I feel this way due to my own facination with Batman as a child.

My one friend from work is always telling me about her son and how much he likes Batman. She went on to say how the other day she had to let out his costume because he had a growing spurt. I remember the days when my mother had to make capes and adjust costumes too. It's no wonder that this mother made bath time a super hero event!

Bat-Cat?

Here is a picture that I'd thought I'd never see - Bat Cat. I came across the web and stumbled upon it. I decided to post it because of the unusual look it has. And it sure has a sinister characteristic value. I'm still not too sure if Catwoman would own this cat or not.

Batman and Nemesis

This is the cover of Nemesis #2 (the first was the grenade in the mouth). I, personally, like the colors and the way Batman's cape is flowing back.

I came across it on Deviant Art. Here's what the artist had to say about it. "Had a lot of fun doing this one. The whole concept is that Nemesis is kind of tripping out, so I thought it'd be cool to have the cover almost melting in a way. Enjoy, finished in about a day and some change." Batman's New Weapon of Choice - The Lightsaber

Last week he fought off sharks and now this week it is Darth Vader.  He truely is a time traveler! It's starting to look like the lightsaber is Batman's new weapon of choice and in the process of using it, he is taking on foes he never expected to run into in his career as a crime fighter. I think we are on a new trend of Batman art. What do you say guys?

Why Not Travel In luxury On The Batman Superbus?

The Batman Superbus devised by the student of UT Delft, Netherlands is sure catching attention at Superman speed! And it comes loaded with every possible improved provisions and features you could even think about.  The reason behind the invention of this Superbus by the students is that they want to provide the passengers with a transportation experience that has something extra, better and convenient.

It is not that the students themselves made this bus, but, there are some notable eminent people who showed the right track to this group of students. Among them are Dr. Wubbo Ockels who is a professor at TU Delft and the first Dutch astronaut, Antonia Terzi of BMW-Williams Formula 1 racing and Joris Melkert MSc who carries an experience of working on the NUNA 3. All these personalities assisted and guided the students to make this revolutionary concept.

Now This Gal Looks Like a Real Poison Ivy

Originally uploaded by The Fifth Element

Here is what she had to say about her whole experience,"Tada! Here's the complete look. I can't even tell you how much work I put into this. I always told myself the year I chose to dress as Poison Ivy (which I wanted to do forever) I was going to do it right. For about a month I searched for a green strapless leotard. My boyfriend searched for 3 days straight online. And here's what we found out: They don't exist.

So here's what I did. I bought a body shaper and countless amounts of fake ivy from a craft store which I cut off from their stems one by one. My plan was to sew them all on individually. When I was in the Poconos for a weekend I started sewing the top part (which is formed like a bra) with elastic thread. It was coming out great but it was taking a long time. And at that point I had about a week until the party. Once I was finished sewing the top I realized I couldn't to that with the body because it was loose and stretchy and would bunch up. I almost gave up when my boyfriends mom suggested I use material glue. The only thing is I would have to be in the outfit to do it. So for about 3 hours the night before the party my mom helped me glue on the rest of the leaves one by one.

All well and good until I went to take it off and couldn't because the glue had dried and the material was no longer stretchy, it was like a mold. It took about a half hour to get off and I decided that when I got home the night of the party I'd be sleeping in it. Which I did. :)"

Then and Now Harley

I found this picture on Deviant Art.  Although I'm more of an old fashion Harley Quinn fan, I really like what ArchmageSalmir has done with this.  I think it is a great idea to combine the two characters together like this. It kind of says out with the old and in with the new!  I wonder what The Joker would look like in this prospective? Be sure to stop by and view the rest of Salmir's drawings here on Deviant Art http://archmagesalmir.deviantart.com/art/Then-And-Now-Harley-Quinn-157734105

You're playing solitaire now... not hearts.

Harley Quinn (Dr. Harleen Quinzel) is a fictional character in the Batman series. She is a supervillainess and the girlfriend-to-be of The Joker. I liked this picture of her because of the eyes. They are huge, but pretty! I'd say that this is another fine Harley Quinn picture!

Holy 3D Batman! Can't Wait For This Game

Just when you thought the streets were safe in Gotham City, then out comes a new game!  In 3D, no less!  What a great surprise this must be for all those Batman gamers!

The uber talented crew over at Rock Steady have put together a Game of the Year Edition of Arkham Asylum, that not only includes 6 maps, but now gives you the ability play Arkham Asylum in 3D, on any television. All you have to do is use the included TRIOVIZ glasses and get ready to creep through the shadows in glorious 3D!

WHAT WILL THEY THINK UP NEXT?!

Harley Quinn - Another Gal Caught Up In A bad Relationship

So many times in real life we see a girl like Harley that falls for the "Bad Boy" on the block. Why is this?  I think that is why she is one of my favorite good girl gone bad characters. Every time I see her with The Joker, I catch myself thinking, "Don't do it, Harley!"

We all know how this crazy love affair happens when she becomes fascinated with the Joker while interning at Arkham, and volunteers to analyze him. She fell hopelessly in love nearly instantly with the Joker during their sessions, and she helped him escape from the asylum more than once. When the Joker is returned to Arkham in battered and broken state after a battle with Batman, the sight of the injured Joker drives Harley to don the costume and become Harley Quinn, the Joker's sidekick and love.
